Ready to step into the spotlight?
2019 ADVISOR THOUGHT LEADER SUMMIT!
August 12 & 13, 2019 at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO
Financial services marketing professionals Maribeth Kuzmeski of Red Zone Marketing and Marie Swift of Impact Communications are partnering to create a totally unique EXPERIENCE where we not only teach but also actually get some work done. They will be joined by PBS prodcuer Pam Krueger who will share everything she has learned about being on camera for the past 20 years, appearing on her own PBS specials as well as numerous broadcast television news shows. At this exciting, one-of-a-kind event, you will:
Everything above is included in your basic ticket admission (we call it the Celebrity Platform Day).
Advisors who are ready to kick-it-up another notch can opt-in to present a 15-minute Thought Leader Talk (kind of like a TED Talk but in a totally safe setting) on Day #2, (we call this the Premier Advisor Day). There is an additional fee for that but it's free to stay and observe (highly recommended). Click here to see what one of the Thought Leader Talks from the last Advisor Thought Leader Summit looked like.

Special Celebrity Guests
Pam Krueger is creator, co-host, executive producer of MoneyTrack, a half-hour TV series about personal finance and investing that has aired on 255 Public Broadcasting Service public television stations nationwide. Pam is also the creator of Wealthramp, a service that matches individual consumers to independent fiduciary financial advisors.
Amy Buttell is a champion for financial advisors. Her superpower is translating industry jargon, mish-mashed ideas, and data-based gobbledygook into compulsively readable, clear-as-a-(closing)-bell stories -- stories that actual, non-industry humans want to read. A journalist with 20 years and over a thousand pieces of client-authored content under her belt -- including pieces in the Journal of Financial Planning and The Wall Street Journal Custom Content Labs -- Amy will share everything she knows (in the time she's got!) about writing a book and using credibility content to open doors and turn heads.
John Lindsey, CFP, a.k.a. The Bold Advisor, was with Edward Jones for over 15 years before establishing his independent financial advisory firm, Lindsey and Lindsey Wealth Management, Inc., in 2012 to better serve his client base with an expanded universe of investment offerings. If you'd like to read about his very arduous journey — from being employed by Edward Jones to being the captain of his own ship (now managing multiple offices and over $400 million AUM) — please visit www.TheBoldAdvisor.com.
Richard Salmen, CFP, CFA, EA, a former air traffic controller with 25 years of financial planning experience, is President of Family Investment Center, a mid-sized RIA with a solid midwest footprint. As past-president of the Financial Planning Association's national board (2009) and then President and 2018 Chair of CFP® Board’s Board of Directors, Richard gained valuable insights into building a credibility platform through "servant leadership." He also served on active duty in the U.S. Army and as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. The KC Business Journal dubbed him “one of the most powerful financial planners in the US."
Zaneilia Harris, CFP, is the author of the book, Finance ‘n Stilettos – Money Matters for the Well-Heeled Woman, member of the CNBC Financial Advisor Council, a financial educator, blogger, and fee-only financial planner who is passionate about finances and sharing her expertise with other women so they can become financially savvy. She established Harris & Harris Wealth Management Group to specifically serve African American women in the DC, MD, VA area, as well as nationwide.
Devika Kamboh, CFP, has used seminars and public speaking opportunities to build authority over the past twenty years. A long-time volunteer and leader within the FPA, Devika recently moved to Colorado and established Sohum Financial Planning in tandem with Sohum Mountain Ranch so that she could apply financial planning principals to wellness. Her undergrad degree in economics (New Delhi) and MBA in marketing and operations (Glasgow) add to her success as a professional who helps clients with cross-border planning and wealth management.
Beth Greulich, CFP, is passionate about empowering women to reach financial competence and independence. As a financial planner with Abacus Wealth Partners, a large RIA with offices nationwide, she will share not only how the firm builds brand, how she has built her own reputation -- and how you can too -- whether you are a large, mid-sized or small advisory firm, whether you are bold or mild-mannered, whether you are an accomplished media magnet or thinking about giving it a try.
Bill Keen, CRPC, will share how he and his team at Keen Wealth Advisors, a mid-sized RIA with a solid midwest footprint, have built up their local Kansas City presence through live events (will do over 60 alone this year) coupled with their blog and podcast, Keen On Retirement. Bill also has leveraged his passions and purpose to make good connections in the community through volunteer roles, such as serving on the Board of Directors for Angel Flight Central (AFC), a volunteer non-profit organization with the mission of serving people in need by arranging charitable flights for health care or other humanitarian purposes.
